Congratulations to the 2017 Arabic & Islamic Studies Graduates!

The department proudly celebrated the graduation of Undergraduate Majors Madison Fisher, Christopher Oswald, Alex Ridley, and Citlalli Velasquez. Andrew Slater celebrated his completion of the Master’s program, and a bumper crop of Doctoral candidates celebrated their graduation. Nabil Al-Hage Ali, Heba Arafa, Seraj Assi, Feriel Bouhafa, Tuve Floden, Michael Raish, and Francesco Sinatora were all hooded and received their PhDs. After the Graduate School commencement ceremony, the students and their families joined the AIS faculty and staff in the department to celebrate their achievements. We congratulate all of our students and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!
