Two Arabic and Islamic Studies graduate students presented their research at the 31st annual Middle East History and Theory (MEHAT) Conference at the University of Chicago, May 6-7, 2016.
Rosabel Ansari presented a paper titled “Taftāzānī’s Refutation of Waḥdat al-Wujūd: A new perspective on intellectual history” and Pamela Klasova presented on “Eloquence and Authority: The Concept of Bayān in Early Islamic Culture.”
