AIS graduate student Anny Gaul presents at conference in Beirut

AIS graduate student Anny Gaul presented her research at the conference Insatiable Appetite: Food as a Cultural Signifier. It was organized by the Arab-German Young Academy and hosted by the American University of Beirut.

Her paper was titled “Tasting Happiness: Gender, Class, and the Egyptian Kitchen.” A recording of her presentation with images can be viewed here.
