Graduate Student Anny Gaul Presents Research at NC State University

​Graduate student Anny Gaul participated in a conference at NC State University in Raleigh, NC, Mjaddarah to Fatti de Luxe: Middle East Diasporas and Food, from April 5-7, 2018. Anny Gaul presented a paper titled “‘My tayta always smelled like bread:’ Oral Histories and Embodied Knowledge in the Arab World.” The paper laid out a methodology for conducting oral history interviews focused on food and kitchen memories, followed by a discussion of findings from a number of interviews conducted in Morocco in 2017.
