Congratulations to Mike Raish for accepting a lecturer position in the Arabic Studies program in the Department of Modern Languages and Literature at the College of William and Mary

Mike Raish has officially accepted a lecturer position in the Arabic Studies program in  the Department of Modern Languages and Literature at the College of William and Mary, that will begin August 10, 2017. Mike will teach at all levels of the curriculum, both Arabic  language and Arabic/Middle-Eastern cultures courses.

Mike is currently finishing his dissertation on “The Measurement of the Complexity, Accuracy, and Fluency of Written Arabic”, that he hopes to defend by the end of the spring semester. He has three forthcoming articles in 2017, among which:
 ”Comparing the Complexity, Accuracy, and Fluency of Written Arabic in the Production of Advanced Learners and Native Speakers.” In Arabic Second Language Acquisition Handbook, Routledge.
“Arabic Language Assessment”, In  Handbook for Arabic language teaching professionals in the 21st century, 13-20, Routledge Volume in press.
