Congratulations to Pamela Klasova, who recently defended her dissertation titled “Empire Through Language: Al-Hajjāj B. Yūsuf Al-Thaqafī and the Power of Oratory in Umayyad Iraq” with distinction, on accepting the position of Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Arabic at Bowdoin College.
